Dr. Tasia Henderson has 10 + years of healthcare experience in primary and psychiatric care. She has worked in both outpatient and inpatient sectors and has been affiliated with some of the major hospitals in the state of Rhode Island.
She received a Bachelorette degree in Biology at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania and Bachelorette degree from Salve Regina University in Nursing. She continued to pursue her education at the University of Rhode Island where she received her Master’s of Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is duly certified in Psychiatry and was an associate professor at the University of Rhode Island Providence campus.
In 2018 she created Semaj Health and Wellness to honor her father James E. Henderson, Sr. whom benefited from alternative medication practices after suffering a stroke. She believes there is a “significant place for alternative therapies in a world filled with tradition medicine”. She loves to serve the community by providing education in alternative therapies to the people of Rhode Island and New York.
